The most useful NO LAW tips right now are not exploits or stat tricks, because the game does not launch until 2027 and none of those exist. What does exist is a clear official description of how the game is designed to be approached, and understanding that before you start will do more for you than any day-one trick list.

Below are the tips that can be grounded in confirmed statements from KRAFTON, followed by the ones you should be sceptical of, and an honest note on what cannot be known yet.

Learn the three approaches, then pick your default

KRAFTON names the routes directly: "Will you utilize Grey's tactical background and stick to the shadows, or will you let him give in to his unbridled rage and go in guns blazing?" A separate line adds the toolset: "Outsmart enemies with sci-fi devices, vertical movement, or full-frontal chaos."

That gives three defaults: tactical stealth, gadgets and traversal, and direct firepower. The practical tip is to understand all three before committing, because the game describes them as choices you make per mission rather than a class you lock in at the start.

Master the tools, not just the guns

The official instruction is explicit: "Master the tools, learn the systems, and turn every mission into your own story."

Note that KRAFTON separates "sci-fi devices" from gunplay. That is a meaningful distinction. In most shooters a gadget is a weaker sidearm; here the wording suggests a genuine alternative problem-solving layer. Players who only invest in gunplay will probably be limiting the routes available to them.

Confirmed

KRAFTON advises taking time over "the variety of military upgrades available to you" and frames sci-fi devices as a way to outsmart enemies, separate from direct firepower.

Treat vertical space as a route

KRAFTON calls Port Desire "a vertical wonder from the rooftops that scrape the smog to the alleys that choke on it", and names vertical movement as a gameplay tool in the same paragraph it names sci-fi devices.

Read those two together. Verticality is not a visual flourish, it is listed as one of the three ways to outsmart an enemy. The habit worth building early is scanning up and down, not just left and right.

Assume your choices persist

This is the single most important mindset tip, and it is the best-documented system in the game.

The official line is blunt: "Even in a city of no laws, actions still have consequences." Helping a friend or killing an enemy both "leave a mark", and the game tells you to "play through multiple times to uncover alternate paths and new outcomes".

To be confirmed

No save system, difficulty option or chapter select has been announced. Until one is confirmed, play as though decisions are final rather than assuming a reload will undo them.

There is no co-op safety net

NO LAW is strictly a single-player experience, per the official FAQ and the Steam feature list. That matters for how you plan.

You cannot rely on a partner to revive you, split objectives, or cover a flank. Every plan has to be executable by one person. If you are used to co-op shooters where a teammate absorbs your mistakes, this is a genuine adjustment. The multiplayer page covers the exact wording.

What to be sceptical of

Pre-release tips content is where fabrication concentrates, because it is cheap to produce and hard to disprove. Apply these filters.

  • Any tip quoting a number. No damage value, weapon stat, upgrade cost or mission count has been published. A specific number today is invented.
  • Any tip naming a weapon, gadget, character or location. Grey Harker and Port Desire are the only confirmed proper nouns. Everything else is unannounced.
  • Any tip describing a control or key binding. No control scheme has been shown.
  • Any exploits, cheats or glitches. The game has not shipped. See the codes page for the same reasoning applied to redeem codes.
  • Any tip with no source. If it does not trace to the Steam page, the official site or an official video, it is speculation.

What you cannot optimise yet

Being clear about the gaps saves you from chasing them. There is no meta to learn, no build to copy, no economy to exploit, no enemy pattern to memorise and no route to optimise. No difficulty setting exists to plan around, and no save system to game.

The best builds page explains why build advice is premature, and the weapons guide does the same for arsenal advice. Both will be rewritten once real data exists.

The one tip that pays off today

Wishlist NO LAW on Steam and subscribe to the newsletter on the official site. Steam notifies you when a date or price lands, and the newsletter is where KRAFTON sends announcements first. Then watch the Gamescom ONL 2026 gameplay trailer, which is the only extended footage released, so it is the only place you can actually study how the game moves.

Everything else is waiting, and that is fine. The players who do best at launch are usually the ones who understood the design framework rather than the ones who memorised a list of tricks that turned out to be wrong.

FAQ

What are the best NO LAW tips?
Learn the three approaches before you start, treat vertical space as a route rather than decoration, and assume your choices persist. There is no way to practise yet, so the useful preparation is understanding the design rather than memorising tricks.
Does NO LAW have a save system?
Not announced. No manual save, autosave or chapter select has been confirmed, so do not assume you can reload out of a bad decision until the system is revealed.
Are there cheats or exploits for NO LAW?
No legitimate ones exist, because the game has not shipped. Treat any site offering NO LAW cheats, trainers or redeem codes as untrustworthy.
